Course Outline:

                         In Math Intro, students will reviewing fundamental operations and properties of whole numbers, integers, rational numbers, and real numbers, including decimals, ratios, percent, proportions, and exponents. Also, students will work with basic statistics and introduction to algebra.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STUDENT:

  • Attend on time to class
  • Be connected when it is schedule. 
  • Find a quiet place , free from distractions
  • Do NOT cheat or copy work from other students.
  • Come to class prepared - calculator , paper, pencil
  • Follow dress code policy.
  • Participate in classroom. Stay on mute. Unmute when your teacher allow you. 
  • Video needs to remain on to promote focus. Refrain to eat or drink(except water) in front of the camera.
  • Ask for help when needed 
  • Treat teacher and classmates with respect, using appropriate language and writing  and tone of voice, when communicating with others; take responsibility for your actions.
  • Ask for permission to leave  during class.
  • Cooperate in creating a learning environment 
  • Follow all rules/procedures in the student handbook.

GROUP EXPECTATIONS:

·      In this class there will be many times that you will be working in groups.

·      Groups will be assigned by the teacher.  

·      You will be expected to contribute cooperate, be on task and communicate within your groups.

·      You will be graded on these expectations.

 

BEHAVIOR POLICY

  • 1st offense ---- verbal warning
  • 2nd offense ---- verbal warning/ parent called 
  • 3rd offense ---- Call home 
  • 4th offense ---- Office referral

 

MAKE-UP WORK:

  • It is the responsibility of the student to get ALL the material covered in class for the day
  • If you miss a graded assignment, your name will be posted with the assignment and make-up due If the assignment is not completed BEFORE or ON the due date, it will result in a zero for that assignment.

             ASSIGNMENTS AND GRADING

Math II  will receive grade on the following point distribution:

       Assessments (Include Test and Quiz) -------------------- 60%           

       Daily (Homework/Classwork)---- -------------------------40%

                                    Total ------------------=============-- 100%
