Photo Composition Collage

Description:
     Learning to create Photo Collages using Adobe Spark.

Objective(s):

• What are the 5 basic Photo Composition Schemes.
• How can you put photos together in a digital collage?

Instructions:

1. Consider these questions:
   • Can you identify Photo Composition Schemes?
   • Can you put examples of them together in a digital collage?
2. Create your Photo Composition Collage at Adobe Spark (spark.adobe.com)
   • Choose Login with School Account (you will use your DPSNC email address).
   • Review the steps for getting started: Get Started in Adobe Spark
3. Once you have opened a new collage, find 5 images that represent the 5 basic Photo Composition Schemes.
   • Rule of Thirds
   • Leading Lines
   • High Contrast
   • Illusion of Depth
   • Repetition
   • You may use Google Images or search within Adobe Spark to find images.
4. Place your images within your collage.
   • Adjust them to make them more interesting - crop, re-size, layer, angle, etc.
5. Add text on top of each photo that labels the correct Photo Composition Scheme.
   • Make them interesting and fun - fonts, colors, size, etc.
6. Make any additional adjustments to your collage - background, etc.
7. Download your final collage to your computer.
8. In the quiz:
   • Answer the questions.
   • UPLOAD the photo into the quiz.

Grading: 20 pts

• 2 pts = Questions answered
• 10 pts = Collage complete - 5 images, 5 text labels
• 5 pts = Correctly chosen and identified Photo Composition schemes
• 3 pts = Collage is unique and interesting
