Welcome to Music Composition! This is a project based class focusing on using D.A.W's (Digital Audio Workstations) and different digital technologies for creating music.

GRADES: Grades will drop 10 points a day for late assignments. 30% of the grade is attendance and participation which is assessed by the students willingness to learn and follow demonstrated procedures.

Students who regularly come to class and attempt all assignments as well as seek assistance when facing difficulties will pass.
1st QUARTER Foundation Techniques
- Genres and sub-genres expanded

SONGFORM - Professional structuring of music D.A.W, Digital, Analog Workstation: e.g. Bandlab, Garageband or Audacity, Soundtrap, FL Studious, and others.
- Bandlab will be used for class instruction and tutorials. The principals can be applied to any other production device.
- Vocabulary will be essential to follow assignments
- We will complete teacher lead class demos in phases. Each new phase will orient you to a new skill allowing you to independently create.
- We will focus on editing, motifs, song and audio production.
- We will study intellectual law as it applies to our work.
- We will study how to present our work for professional consideration.
2nd Quarter The Business of Music
