Word Sketches 01

Description:
     What are some of your preferences in life? How can you illustrate those?

Instructions:

1. Think about these pairs of words.
   • Dog & Cat
   • Pizza & Hamburger
   • Beach & Mountains
   • Winter & Summer
   • Indoor & Outdoor
2. Consider these questions.
   • Which of each pair would you choose?
   • How can you best represent the word in a sketch/drawing?
3. Draw FIVE sketches, one each on a half sheet of paper.
   • Fill up the page.
   • Use whatever drawing materials you have and want to use.
   • Spend about 20-30 minutes on each.
   • They can be representative (realistic) or abstract.
   • Make them fun and funny.
   • Think about foreground and background.
4. Photograph each sketch/drawing.
5. In the quiz, indicate the choice that you have made.
6. Upload them into the quiz.
   • Using a new way - "Embed Image" icon.
   • It looks like the little mountain scene.
   • Click on the "Embed Image" icon.
   • For Image Source, click on "Canvas" tab.
   • Click on "My Files".
   • Click on "Upload File"
   • Choose your image.
   • Click "Open"
   • Click "Update"

Grading: 50 pts (10 pts per drawing)

• 6 pts = Drawing done - fills the page
• 2 pts = Unique details and/or composition
• 2 pts = Demonstrates the word clearly
