Materials:

  • Paper (any color and/or kind will do) the size of office paper.
  • Other art materials as needed.

Instructions:

  1. Think about the idea of JOY.
  2. Listen to the musical piece "Ode to Joy".
    • By Beethoven.
    • Played by the NC Symphony.
  3. Think about something joyous or joyful in your own life or in the world around you.
  4. Create a visual artwork that represents your JOY.
    • Use any art materials that you want - drawing, collage, sculpture, etc.
    • Make it about half sheet of paper.
    • It can be realistic, abstract, or non-representational.
    • Work on in for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Work on it during LIVE Zoom meeting.
  6. Complete it during WORK TIME.
  7. Take a photo of your completed JOY.
  8. When you take the photograph, make sure it fills up the frame.
  9. Upload your photo to the NC Symphony 1State/1Score Site
  10. Take a screenshot of your submission acceptance.
  11. Open this quiz.
  12. Complete the questions.
  13. Upload the photo(s) of your artwork to this quiz.
