Instructions:

  2. Watch these videos:
  3. Consider these questions:
    • What are the best ways to connect paper?
    • What are the best ways to create 3D forms out of a flat material?
  4. Shapes (2D) to Forms (3D)
    • Square = Cube
    • Rectangle = Rectangular Prism
    • Triangle = Triangular Prism or Pyramid (square base) or Tetrahedron
    • Circle = Cylinder or Cone or Sphere
  5. Using construction paper and tape/glue, create three 3D forms:
    • Cube or Rectangular Prism
    • Cylinder
    • Triangular Prism (roof top) or Pyramid

    • Look at these templates.
    • Draw the layout on paper.
    • Make sure to include the tabs.
    • Cut out the layout.
    • Fold and crease on the fold lines (including the tabs).
    • Start taping (or gluing) the tabs in place.
    • Glue the final tab in place (this one can be difficult).

  7. Photograph your three forms.
