Animal Idea Sketches

Description:
     Brainstorming animal ideas. Thinking about animal characteristics.

Objective(s):

• Thinking about animal shapes and forms - especially silhouettes.
• What characteristics draw you to certain animals?
• What is the best view to represent an animal?

Instructions:

1. Think about several animals.
2. Consider these questions.
   • What are the overall forms?
   • What are the characteristics that draw you to them?
3. Draw THREE animal silhouettes, one each on a half sheet of paper.
   • Make them as large as the paper.
   • Sketch them lightly at first.
   • Then, make them darker.
   • If you want, add a FEW LARGE details within the silhouette.
   • 
4. In the quiz, list the names of each animal and then 5 characteristics that draw you to that animal.
5. Choose one of your animals for your Final Project.
6. Photograph all three of your animal drawings and upload them into the quiz.

Grading: 10 pts

• 6 pts = All three Drawings done
• 3 pts = Names & 5 Characteristics for each
• 1 pts = One Animal Chosen
