Motion and Force Assignments Playlist
- Due No Due Date
- Points 30
- Submitting a text entry box, a website url, a media recording, or a file upload
This Playlist is divided into three sections. Everything in Sections 1 and 2 are required but only one activity in Section 3 is required. In total you should complete four assignments. You are allowed multiple submissions on this Playlist so you don't have to do all of them at once, I'll be able to see all your submissions.
The left columns will be the directions to the activities. Read them all because they contain questions to answer and information on how to get credit for the assignments. The right will hold links to the activities along with screen shots of what they should look like or embedded videos.
Section 1
The following two activities are REQURIED
Directions | Activity |
Watch the following crash course video on 2D motion. I won't have you fill anything out while watching but you will have a vocab quiz on the vocab presented in this video next week so you may want to take notes and study them |

Section 2
This activity is REQUIRED
Directions | Activity |
*You will need to have a form of Java downloaded for this simulation, the chrome books should already have it but if they don't, e-mail me and I'll send a secure link for you to download it from 1. First play around and become familiar with the simulation - be sure to look at all the tabs, specifically the force graphs tab 2. In a google doc, answer the following questions about the simulation? Questions: What happens to each of the forces when you change the angle? What force disappears when you change the floor to ice? What happens to the force needed to keep the block still (on the ramp) when you change the ground to ice?

Section 3
only ONE of these activities are required
Directions | Activity |
Film a Tutorial of yourself explaining the features in the simulation to the right. You can use any kind of screen sharing software to record this video. Please keep the video under 15 min. ***Make sure you include tutorials for all four sections, Net Force, Motion, Friction, and Acceleration. |
|
Create and film a video of your own class lecture on Friction. You can use a white board, Zoom's white board, Powerpoint, or anything else you feel will present your lecture well. Please keep the video under 15 min ***Make sure to include how to calculate friction, what is physically causing friction, and how it interacts with other forces when finding the Net Force |
