Peer Group Connection (PGC)

This course is intended for junior and senior students who will be working with freshman mentoring them to help ease the transition into high school and to improve school culture and climate.  The purpose of this training is to prepare mentors for the critical role they will assume in improving the academic and social transition of their freshman. 

Course Welcome

Peer Group Connection: This is an exciting course that will require you to maintain an open-mind and eagerness to learn. Over the next few weeks, you will learn about topics such as building relationships, communication etc issues that most high school students deal with. The goal of this course is to give you knowledge and skills so you may be an effective mentor at Hillside.
